the little things

I've never been a person that really needs reminding to stop and smell the roses. I'm happy by nature, and nature has always made me happy in so many little moments.
This post is not to discount the huge, wonderful events in our lives, but I've been thinking more and more lately, about how all those little things we appreciate lead up to such a spectacular journey!
Just a few of my little things:
~the warmth of the sun on a chillly winter day
~free bread at restaurants. Score!
~a kiss for no reason
~a last minute dinner date with a good friend
~giving or getting a genuine compliment
~the cold side of the pillow
~a glass of good, cheap wine
~having a sweet conversation with a stranger {I made two new friends on the plane home from vegas!!}
~my inner peace right after cleaning the house
~going to take out the trash and finding that David already has!
~a gooth teeth cleaning :D
~pedicures
~a fresh haircut and hilight. See mine from a few days ago!

~Coffee :)
~steam dancing as it rises off the pavement on a quiet morning
~laughing
~the occassional false lashes
~catching your favorite song on the radio, start to finish
~surprising grandpa with dinner two nights in a row :)
~Saying "Fiddle dee dee!"

It's fun to stop and think: what are the little things for you?
Vegas re-cap to come!!

~ciao, fellow *fabulans~

*fa-bu-lan: a culture of fabulous people
**I just made that up. OOOH making up words! another fave little thing...
