Resourceful

I AM going to post on my trip, as soon as I have time {energy} to upload whatever random photos are in the camera!

In the meantime, I am curious if I am the only girl that has every tried to pass off her shoes and handbags as art. Literally. In college I hung handbags on the wall. I had more closet space AND some cute art on the wall! So when David and I moved in together, I tried to pull a similar sorority-style stunt. David unfortunately, doesn't agree that my bags should hang like Monet's. Or that my shoes should not be displayed on a lovely shelf like sweet sculptures.   I may have found a loop hole...He never said I couldn't do this :)

This is Glamorous

Do you have any quirky things that you will not compromise on?

Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down!

Orrrrr in my case, shoes!

Nothing does the trick when it comes to me having to deal with the doctor in any capacity, like getting a pair of shoes to help me take these next steps through life! {Me? Dramatic? Never}

Linea Paolo 'Fae' Flat

These buttery suede flats will be perfect come fall, when  I sometimes get stuck in a bubble of black outfits. A lovely pop of color :)
Bloom Stuart Weitzman Jellies
These are to take me through the rest of summer, connecting with the 4 year old Chelsea, that loved her jellies above all other materials!

Can't wait to post tomorrow, about another lovely trip to Sugarland!

That is what is going on in my head right now. It's like vocab vomit (sorry, this post may be tinged with sick references, like my life the last 10 days) So I must get some of it out pronto! After days of laying in bed in darkness taking turns sweating with a fever, and shaking with chills, and the hole digestive issue, I'm finally starting to feel human again.

First things first, I feel like my doctor is trying to one- up those pesky ex-boyfriend types. You know, "ohhhh I'm so over you, you're so spring 2009.... Getting over me are you?? Well I'm baaaack!! AND I'm realizing how amazing you are again. So stop your life and make it all be me again. K?"

Not that I know from experience or anything... But first my doctor says it sounds like I have salmonella. ick. So I give them ingredients for the lab. After two days of misery it comes back negative.  At this point, I'm losing a lot of fluids and bleeding internally, so they recommend I go to the ER. I don't go just yet. Gotta play hard to get. Stupid stupid! So I finally go in the next day with my mom (who is also soooo sick with a flu bug. we had rooms near each other) and they say it is a viral infection that I seem to be fighting well and to start eating whatever I want. If this doctor knew me well he never would have told me this. So it's possible I've eaten a bag of  baked lays and vanilla ice cream for dinner each night. washed down with frozen gatorade:) Not eating for a week will drive me to this point. THEN it hits my tummy and it says "Girl?!(Insert queen Latifah's voice)What exactly do you think you're doin? You are NOT gettin away with this missy!"

So long story longer, I finally venture into the one place that never fails to invigorate me, Nordstrom, and my doctor call 2 times in like 5 minutes trying to get me on the phone. Turns out I DO have a little happy family of bacteria living in my tum tum. And they want to treat it pronto. I don't know what it is yet...there was a big shoe sale and I had to see the goods rather than rush to the pharmacy :) The sickness will still be there tomorrow. the shoes on the other hand, were going like hot cakes.

Tomorrow I will tackle this beast inside. In the meeeeaaan time, I must show you the Holy Grail of Bridal Emergency kits. Basically, my future sister-in-law Ashley is AMAZING and sooo thoughtful when she bought out target the other day assembling my fabulous go-to trunk of fun!
Look, even rays from Heaven are shining on it:)

Ahoy!

YO-HO, YO-HO, A BRIDES THE LIFE FOR ME!

Sick of my sailing references yet? Cannot help myself! It just agrees with me :) What doesn't agree with me, is a nasty nasty nasty food poisoning I have had since late Saturday night, after our engagement party. I waiting for my lab work to get back so I can finally get treatment. All I'm gonna say is it's baaaad ladies. Wouldn't wish it on anyone. I think I got it from a mexican place we ate at after dress shopping earlier that day because 3 outta 4 of us got some kinda sick. Proooobably won't be going back there any time soon:(
On a more fun topic, our Denver engagement party was last Saturday as well (before my symptoms showed up) and it was soooo wonderful! It was a garden party. I'm too dizzy/lazy to upload photos from my mama's camera right now, but I will send you here to my fabulous friend Ana's quick witty blog which you should read anyway! She has a few photos of the night. Thank you soooooo much to everyone who came, it meant the world to us!! And for those of you who couldn't come, we missed you!
I'm hoping to get some antibiotics by this weekend and will be up and running and planning like a fool come monday!

Have a great rest of the week everyone!
God Bless

God Bless America!

I hope everyone had a splendid Holiday weekend! I've gotta say, in the spirit of Independence day and appreciating all things American, I have seen some beautiful sights, enjoyed great conversations, indulged in some yummy food, and all with people I love! In all the excitement of the weekend, my senses were basically overloaded or set on fire I should say:) from the inside out! This weekend, David and I fell in love all over again being up in the mountains, and picturing our wedding day in Beaver Creek. All I can say is it reminded me of how everyone tells you about your dress "you'll know when it's the one" and we looked at each other throughout the day just smiling, both knowing that a wedding weekend in Beaver Creek would be gorgeous, fun, fresh, and a blessing for us overall! I won't post venues on here just yet, because we are working on making it all official, but I'm so excited to share with you, just what we are so excited about!

So, after this weekend, seeing and experiencing everything this weekend had to offer, I feel so so blessed to live in this country, enjoy the simplicity of a day in the park with friends, the clean brisk mountain air, and surrounding beauty that God has given all of us to soak in every day! I hope you can join in with me when I say, thank you to those sacrificing their comfort, safety, and loved ones so that we can continue living our lives however we see fit. God Bless You and God Bless this country!
