April babies!!! Love me some Katie/Amber/Singing time :)

Happy Birthday, Love! And happy almost birthday Katie!

Well, the Universe has been talkin to Ob' a lot lately! Here's what he relayed to me:

Aha! chelsea, do you know what your thoughts did last week?!

Oh, yes you do.

They became the things and events of this week. The things you thought would be difficult became difficult; easy became easy; boring became boring; and fun became fun. Where you thought there might be surprises, you were surprised. And where you thought there might be land mines, there were land mines.

Bravo! You can add this week to the list of your most creative accomplishments.

Now, can you guess what your thoughts this week are going to do?

You are awesome,
The Universe

The Incredible shrinking woman

So, last week at the doctor, the nurse was doing her run of the mill procedures as we made small talk. I was feelin good! I stood up tall for my measurements, life was not bad, considering I was at the doc...Until I looked down at my sheet only to find I have shrunk a half inch! I have always been more than comfortable with my 5'2" stature, but come on! This is just not cool! After being slightly dramatic about my drastic shrinkage to anyone who would listen all day, we went furniture shopping, and I was reminded again, to the amusement of David and my family, that I look like a little girl on this couch! I mean-the couch is ridiculously deep if you ask me. Glad I could provide a laugh for the shoppers...

this could be me in 5 years!
Let me break it down for ya: this leads me to one very practical conclusion. I need a respectable pair of sky high heels!

JIMMY CHOO
Private patent-leather sandals
$950

CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN
Margi Diams 120 sandals
$1,995
TORY BURCH
Wrap Up leather sandals
$325

Problem solved, no?

do-dads

Well...this weekend I felt like just about the worst fur-momma in the whole world. (I say almost, because as I type, Peach and Eva have officially chewed through their 6th mac computer/phone charger.urgh.Luckily, they are not electrocuted little weenies)
Where was I...oh.I actually voluntarily took my sweet baby Peach to the place where they cut open sweet puppy bellies allll day long and remove their inner girlie parts. It's hard on a tiny body, but have no worry-she is still managing to be a terror around the house with her sister. So that she is not flying off all the furniture like her usual sugar-gliding self, I will be staying close to home today...

Having this playing {possibly more than once ;)}
Reading the rest of this...
And planning more elements of a day that revolves around us feeling like this:
2 kids in love getting married and sharing kooties foreverandeverandever.
Here's to a week of dream chasing everyone!

I need a bandage!

Sigh...If I had an extra 2000 some odd dollars that I was forced to get rid of, I'd have to say that Gretchen won me over on the RHOC reunion in this GORGEOUS Herve Leger Bandage dress. It would be so wonderful in Vegas for a memorable bachelorette party with my dearest girls!!!
Now-about getting the sleek physique for such a frock!
{a girl can dream, right?}

Got faith?

I have a million things that need to get done today, but I feel that writing my heart down right now takes priority. I am always so moved every Sunday at church, and through writing, I feel what I learn and feel each week is able to resonate so much more.

First I want to clarify that I am not preachy. In fact, I don't even care for religion as much as I do for people that love God and can open my eyes and heart to feel that same love. Whether it is talking through sections of the Bible, or just relating to one another and acknowledging God's work all around us.

Today, I chose to include it in my blog, because I know there have been several times when I have stumbled upon a scripture or someone's feelings on the subject, and it hits me like a punch in the stomach...like I was supposed to find it.
What I am really going to work on, starting in the smallest ways, and building from there, is not only having faith, and praying. These are great gifts to have, but I realize what is more important, is what you do about the things on which you pray. What good is praying for a friend who is going through a hard time, saying "God, please help him/her, they are really struggling and could use your help/guidance." Why not BE that help...or at least a part of it. BE a word of guidance and a rock to lean on. Or when I see a homeless man holding a "Help" sign, I don't want to just pray that help comes to him anymore. (I also don't want to give him my only 5 bucks so he can go buy a 40) I want to ask him how I can help.
What I'm learning more and more, is that we, you and me, are the answers to someone's prayers, through what we do with the talent God has given us!

When I need guidance, sometimes I look in every other place but God, because deep down, I know he will guide me somewhere that is not always easy or comfortable. But when I am quiet and truly listening, I am closer to learning the path that is pleasing to God. I could ramble on and on, but for a start, what can explain it better than the Bible:

What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such

faith save him? 15 Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one

of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing

about his physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not

accompanied by action, is dead.

18

But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without

deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.

19

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

James 2:14-19

Everyone have a Sunday-Funday!

Vegas and Weenie wednesday...And a word from Obie

Thank you all for your sweet input on my last post. You all were too easy on me :)

I wanted to post a few pics of Vegas! Sorry in advance, they are from my phone. Not sure I will EVER get our pics from my parents {ahem}.

duh, what did ya think we were going to Paris without getting the oh-so-classy booze-in-a-building?! My mom and I thought we were hilarious.
Sensi, where we ate dinner one night at our hotel! very yummy.
part of the 20 minute walk to get from our room to my parents!

the wedding chapel in the Bellagio!
I wish I invented this orange and pink serendipity!
still obsessed with the o and p chairs...
starting things off right!...at Tiffany's :o)
Many of the hotels were celebrating the Chinese New Year. The atrium at the Bellagio never ceases to amaze!

Switching Gears~~~
My little tiny rotten Peach found out how to get into their toy basket and it's pretty much her favorite thing to do! It drives her big sister bonkers with envy! She hangs out in the basket like it's her personal hot tub.
{she would NOT stay still}

Little furry sardines
Yes. I am unfortunately aware that I have the voice of a 5 year old. In my defense, the camera adds 3 octaves...and I have to talk puppy to my pups!

A word from our little buddha, Obie, as dictated by the universe:

Of all the things that matter, chelsea, that really and truly matter, working more efficiently and getting more done is not among them.

Chill,

Obie, and the Universe

Pick your brain

One of the things I love about blogging, is that it introduces me to so many people, places, and things that I would have never otherwise found.

Exhibit A: Etsy.com. aka-my time-stealing obsession!
If you haven't checked it out, I strongly recommend you do when you have oh, an HOUR or so to kill! I love that etsy had made it possible for so many talented people to sell their labors of love. Giving some power back to the people! I digress...So I always have to have a creative outlet of some sort, because my mind is a tangled mess of bright colors, flowers, ruffles, sparkles, bows, you get the idea...so I have taken to crafting more and more lately, much to the dismay of our bank account ;) I am planning on putting these, and more on my etsy store, and I wanted to get your creative input on what I have so far...I have a lot more to do, but this stuff needs tweaking, just not sure what!

These next three are meant to hang in a grouping, maybe in a nursery...

Ignore the ugly EvaPeach logo, I was experimenting ;)

These 3, I call memories in bloom, which are basically meant for decoration, or to tuck a photo or memento inside....see? I am crazy.

I was feeling defeated with some sewing projects for a while, so above, you can see where all my lovely fabric started going! But now I am so ready to get back into some sewing projects and am really pumped! I have embellished some tanks, I will post on here too but there is lots more to be done, and I just need the spare time, and the energy level to match up!

So, if you have an opinion, please feel free to lay it on me! Otherwise, it's back to the thinking cap!
Have a fabulous day :)
