Fall, I bid you adieu!

well, not quite yet...but we had our first dusting of snow! I just wanted to reflect on the past few weeks of Fall on this grey day ;)

The pumpkin patch is an annual MUST at our house :)
me and my girls

It is next to impossible to coordinate everyone to say cheese at the same time ;D
one of the best we got!

The first weekend of every month, David and I and 4 other friends have started a supper club! It's a great chance to get together, have a theme, eat yummy food (which I lost pictures of) and drink yummy drinks, and have great company :)

David and Josh even had a jam session. They sounded awesome!

The beautiful hostess, Zahra

We were in charge of drinks. This is a whiskey Cider , yum!
And a Maple sour.  VERY sour. Pucker up!

My brother made an awesome applesauce spice cake from  our family cookbook, I gotta post the recipe on here. heaven.in.you.mouth.

 And of course you didn't forget it's Weenie wednesday, did you?!

my little peanut loves a good belly scratch from her dad

Happy Wednesday!

Bridal Party Gifts

I'm not going to beat around the bush: I pretty much started assembling the bridesmaid gifts before I even locked anything else down! I had so much fun with these, and I hope this may help brides-to-be who may come across this post :)

I bought a gold pair of flip flops for each maid.
 I then ordered champagne swarovski crystals online in bulk to glue on each pair for a comfy,
cute post- ceremony option.
I tied an Ivory Pashmina around the handle of each girl's tote.
{when ordering in bulk, you can find good deals online as well ;)}

Co-ordinating wedding party t-shirts!
{Ordered from wedding chicks}

fresh-water pearls
{you can order these packaged in the colors of your choice on etsy}

crafting the "Dancing shoes" flip-flop tags{attached with raw silk}, the pearl boxes,
and flags to wave after we said "I Do!"

Assembling all the totes at my mom's house

Complete with a letter-pressed heart-felt Thank You card for each friend :)

Our sweet flower girl Parker, got a big-girl size tote too, filled with goodies for a sweet girl :)

We had individual gifts for the readers, life-saving planners etc., and groomsmen gifts. Let me know if you want any ideas for those items, we had fun with them too!

This was a project I loved and poured my heart in to.
If anyone ever wants to put me to work assembling anything, bring it on!

Happy Monday

Anthro? We need ta talk, girl...

So I'm telling you this because we're friends.{never mind that I spend too much money to stay your friend. That's neither here nor there...}
So as I was saying...I know your at an age where experimenting with hallucingens seems like a good idea.
 but anthro? You better check yoself before you reck yoself.

Ya see, your latest catalog has got me all sorts of freaked out. Like that time- you -decided- to- showcase -the- new- collection- completely -under -water-freaked- out.

I was nothing, if not warned by the first page.
Note the pig dressed like Napoleon and evil goat dressed like Uncle Sam.
Now, I'm willing to hear you out, and fully appreciate your creativity. But you should know that I'm pretty sure you even sent Alice {from Wonderland} cross-eyed and confused.

Now. It was a struggle for me to narrow down the crazy to show you where I'm coming from...but let's face it. It was all cookoo-gold:

Well...Of course I want a bangle made out of China!

Add this $548 dollar necklace that is reminiscent of albino dreads  to my cart. Yup!

I love a creepy head dangling from my necklace as much as the next girl.
But you went the extra step and made it functional by adding a key!

oh Anthro, I do love your crazy self. Whatever will you come up with next?
And what concoction will it take to get you there?!
