Save the Date

Sooo artistically gifted self had a vision one night. Not of sugarplum fairies {not on this particular night anyway}. It was a vision of our save the dates. So I jotted it down {quickly, in my own defense!} to show David and see what he thought. Let's just say everyone who sees it laughs to the point of tears again and again.

hmmm. wonder which one we sent?!
Have a wonderful Christmas!!

All tied up with bows

Thought by some to be a smidge too cutesy, or perhaps overdone.

When it comes to adorning myself with bows, I for one, cannot get enough cutesy...in tiny little doses...does that even make sense? After all, who doesn't want to feel like a gift now and then?!
These rings do the trick ;)

Gives me butterflies

Sometimes life gets so busy, it's nice to have a reminder. A reminder to stop and smell the roses. A reminder to get lost in the details. All it takes is a little reminder that every day is already extraordinary, if you're paying attention :)

wrapping in a winter wonderland

One of the things I love about my mom is her innate ability to decorate a space within an inch of it's life. She has enough christmas decorations to make the mean Grinch want to crawl into the fetal position and find a crabby place ;) And I?Love.It.
I have to help her decorate {haul totes up from storage while she decides where to strategically place everything} so I better enjoy the result.
Pink Christmas room

My sentiments exactly, Mr. Santa/Elf?
wrapping presents!

Oh-and Mommy? When David and I have a place of our own, I'm not going to pretend like I'm not raiding your Christmas storage and taking all my favorites!! It is SUCH a wonderful time of year! Thank you Jesus, for this season of love and cheer!

An ode to my babies

Lots of pictures of our babies. And I would have it no other way :)

Tequila, you live with mom now,
because I don't think she could have handles us BOTH moving out
But you will always be my chihuahua baby boy
Obie says "Yup. The park agrees with me!"
We have the best cuddle bugs
But they tend to snore...
yin and yang. such sweet playmates.
you don't hate us when the furnace breaks, but cling to the heater
There's no better way to relax at the end of the day, than with you :)
And you still give kisses when momma makes you wear your sweater to stay warm.
birds of a feather
The view I fall asleep to when you sleep in our bed :)

We are so lucky to have such sweet, lovable babies. We love love love you.

White-Out

In honor of our beautiful snow day {Colorado just knew it was December, and officially appropriate} I am winter-wedding inspired post. David and I made a very conscious decision to NOT have a winter wedding for many reasons. Out-of-towners getting around in the snow, and unfamiliar driving in it...finding formal wear that is cute and warm is tricky...and things like that. We both, however, can appreciate the utter gorgeousness and fresh, yet somehow coziness of a winter wedding :)

Let's face it. I kinda want a winter wedding now, just so I can wear this fabulous coat!
tiny, but I stumbled upon this gorgeous wedding on style me pretty and saw it was photographed by our photographer! Squeee!!

The Ghosts of Products Past

Ok. I wrote this post last year, but I'm posting it again, with an updated list of "I wants!"

What's that I hear...the pitter-patter of little sale's feet, the stacking of berry colored holiday cups at Starbucks, the rustling of trees as they are draped with twinkling lights, and the loudest action I've been hearing recently as we approach the Holiday season?? Product advertisement OVERLOAD. Is it just me, or is everything all of a sudden 50% off, or 50% of the already 50% off, or free gift with purchase and on and on and on. In this time of proclaimed recessionistas, everyone (well, at least me...and gina:)) are desiring the look of a snow princess and these clever ad teams seem to think they hold the golden key to all our problems. Tis the season to buy buy buy in an attempt to not only give give give, but better thyself with the magnanimous help of the latest lotions and potions that have once again suckered us in (well, again, me at least). So with all the promising advertisements I'm skeptical yet hopeful that whether it's a portable permanent sonic hair remover for your purse, eye cream with real moon dust, or maybe a mascara that will oh, I don't know, go work out for me, something I purchase is actually going to do what it promises. Outlandish or not. I will soon be entering the stores to see what will make my "Oh I definitely need" list. Here are some products I haven't gotten a chance to try yet, but I'm pretty sure I need! Feel free to share your favorites so that we can all move on from the products that have failed to erase the years, tame the fly-aways, and soften the skin :):)

O.P.I Dear Santa. Gotta have pretty holiday fingies and tootsies when tearing ahem. Graciously opening presents from that big sweet Santa!

Moroccanoil Hair Products. I've heard nothing but fabulous gossip and snickering about this line. My parched curls are yearning for a try to see if all the fuss is...fussworthy!

infused with "mood-boosting Happybelle", so cheesy, but makes me smile nonetheless :)
AND I'm a bareMinerals girl.

Basically, any La Mer product. Let's face it. I'm evolving from more of a Spring chicken, to a wintery, weathered vulture. eeeck!
Michael Kors very Hollywood solid perfume ring. I NEED this! It smells sweet and just enough for me to decide if I like the fragrance long-term :)
Just some items on my wish list this season! What is everyone else hoping to find in their stocking?
