Birds of a feather ;)

In my last post I gushed a teeny bit over discovering Taylor Kenney Jewelry, actually based in Fort Collins, a town that will always hold a piece of my heart since spending those special 4 years of college there. I digress {as is normal}.

I have found a new friend in this talented jewelry artiste! Taylor found my gushing smidget and offered to send me a piece of my choice {twisty-twist my lil arm}.

Honestly? It was like picking your favorite child...or fur child in my case.
But somehow...I managed to whittle it down to quite a fab choice if- I -do- say -so- myself -thank- you- very- much!

The Feather Earrings are a pair of actual feathers which have been dipped in a layer of 24 karat gold. Very lightweight, with such a gorgeous golden hue! Length is 2 and 3/4 inches. Gold filled earwires.

They are so LIGHT! Thank you, thank you Taylor Kenney, for your generosity, and for your creativity captured in these gorgeous pieces :)


Oh, and guess what friends? I have a new job! eeeek! I will share more soon, I'm so excited/nervous.

Riding the heat wave

Whew it is going to be 100 today in Denver! Pool tiiiiime!

With the heat, we have been trying to keep busy and productive, but as is evident by my daugers (get it? my dogs, that are like my daughters? Hush, it's not weird) the temps tend to take there toll. {say that 10 times fast!}

As is normal lately, blogger isn't working well. But here is a photo of Peach passed out from heat exhaustion on her uncle Chad's computer :)

My mom and I hosted a baby shower for my sweet cousin. She made a haul from family and friends who helped to prepare her for baby Jackson.

Summer fun

I feel like road runner. With all the absolutely beautiful weather, I feel like I'm running around leaving a trail of smoke behind me! 

My mom found this table for $12. 

I sanded...

I primed...

I painted...                                                                  Then Distressed...

 Voila! It's ready to go in my mom's sweet little shop :)

I've also been enjoying the pool, along with friends, family, 

and this watermelon margarita {which I didn't hate ;)}!

 I have also been forced to sip on delicious mint spritzers.

Vacay in the BayBay

I've been absent from the blog world for a bit, but for good reason! We took a quick trip this last week to San Francisco and the surrounding areas for the wedding of some awesome friends. I wanted to make a fabulous movie of our travels, but for the sake of time {and my lack of movie making skills} I made a little slideshow for fun.
