a few things...

I can't remember what I was going to blog about, but it wasn't this. I just couldn't resist bragging on these wonderful wedding vendors featured on this inspiration shoot featured on Style Me Pretty.

They borrowed my FAVE dress from our shop right now, and it is magical!
I'm particularly ecstatic that two wonderful vendors from our very own wedding, our photographer James, and our baker from Intricate Icings got to showcase their talent :)
Some of you may recognize the cake from the inspiration board?!

Check out the shoot and video!

I like to craft it-craft it

happy weenie Wednesday from my little velvet jellybean, Eva :)

The rainy weather today and tomorrow is perfect for cleaning, crafting, movies, and soup and sandwiches!

 in my down time, I try to make things to put in my mom's little antique shop.
This little hair clip bloom was so simple!
 I made a HUGE silk bow headband for derby parties
or any other event you automatically want to make more fabulous.
 ruffles. I LIVE for ruffles!
 My dear friend Amber, with her baby Dexter, humoring me in a ruffled tank I made for her
I made this apron for my friend, Zahra, who should open up a cafe, she is such a gifted cook & chef!
She is always slaving away making us goodies...

Lastly, on this crazy wednesday post, I so appreciate your positive words and thoughts towards my mom. Our family feels them and a doctor gave us some promising news this week <3
Please keep the prayers coming, you wonderful people!

Have a FAB rest of your week darlings.

A wedge between David and I

Literally.a Wedge. Between David. And I.

What is it about vacations that make me want a whole new wardrobe?! It's something about wanting everything about your trip to be extra special.
David? Does not share this sentiment with me. If you want to see live entertainment, put David and I in the Roman Coliseum NOT with spears, but with my laptop, and A debit card. Bickering and pouting will ensue like you've never seen, as I attempt to save my "life" {read: convince David this Piperlime sale ends SOON and I need to act on these wedges something fierce!}

David's metaphorical spear back to me was "I trust you to make the right decision, love."

UURRRRGGHH!

So I did. I went to my shopping cart with said wedge, and clicked PURCHASE

Don't make that face. It's why he loves me :)

The wedge between David and I

You see, it really was a great compromise in the end. What I really wanted, were these Stuart Weitzmans that my girl Jen Aniston has been wearing around town...

on another note, I believe the Missoni- Havaiana collab flip flops and espadrilles just came out-and are all SOLD OUT. Would you consider spending upwards of $60 on this fun collaboration?

On another completely different but worlds more important note, now that I have you, my mom has been dealing with some pretty serious health scares, and I know my whole family would appreciate any prayers for her health sent our way:)
love you mom!

For Audrey...And for the love of doxies

I have been looking for just the right turquoise blue polish for a few years I'd say. Pretty random, but a necessity nonetheless.
I finally found it : For Audrey.
How precious is that?
I put it to the test and yup, it is perfect match to that classic Tiffany blue :)

 For Audrey, from China glaze obv.

It looks pretty cute with my turquoise jewels too!

Missa, I didn't forget it's weenie wednesday.
And this week, my poor girl seems to be having an identity crisis.
Her little fang hangs out just for fun, and she pretends she is the big bad wolf from little red riding hood.

What a big nose you have!

Take it Obe:

The bigger the dream
The rougher the ride
The truer the love
The deeper the ache

The blinder the faith
The tougher the go

The higher you reach
The further the sky

The more miles you walk
The longer the road

The steeper you climb
The harder you stand to fall

The stronger you get
The heavier the load

Don't quit your day-job

This has become an adage I have grown quite supportive of at the ripe ol' age of 26ish.

 More often than not lately, I have been lazy  let photos take the center stage as far as journaling/blogging/telling a story. But let's take a minute to recap my day at work tuesday:

Enter Scene:
CC(me): shipping and receiving packages at work, busy as a chatting be in the back room.
Anna(Boss): "Hey CC, can I interrupt you for a second? Actually, do you have, like ten minutes to come in my office?"
CC: scanning brain-what did I mess up--- scanning brain-whose bride's life did I destroy---pull yourself together Chel-uhhh
CC--- "Of course you can!"
Anna: looking through important looking file full of documents
CC: ---gulp. this is it. I feel like I'm in the principals office---I can envision it: "soooo we're glad you're bubbly and all, but we're kinda tired of seeing all your teeth all the time...And that "research" on shopbop and net-a-porter? is giving our computers viruses. Ultimately: we're not that into you anymore.-----
Anna: "As you know.... we're {the shop} coming up on our 5th birthday....and we wan't it to be BIG"
CC: regaining my vision.
Anna: "blluuuurrrrrrrrr '2,000 people' blurrrrrrrrrrr 'paying it forward to underprivileged youth with proceeds' buzzzzzzzzzz 'cute sample save-the-dates' bzzzzzzzzzzzzz 'huge fab venue' whoooooooosshhhhhhhh 'brides wearing their gowns again' {ska-weee!} bluuurrrrrr 'thought you'd be a good go-to person to help us put it all together"
CC: jaw dropping. chewing gum may or may not have rolled out onto the floor.
End Scene.
(sorry, I work with a moonlighting theater director :P)

MA-JOR. I am super pumped! anna and bre, if you for some reason have taken a break from your super busy lives to read my blog, THANK YOU for trusting, and thinking of moi!!!  I will obvi re-cap once it's taken place, but until then, it seems we have a humongous weddingish event to plan!!!!

thank you for reading my venting,confusing, excitement blog friends! and if you need to kill any more time than you just did on this CO cupcake's blog, head over to my work's website where I just blogged the other day under shop talk:)
{Don't fret, I won't quit my day-job;)}

Nautical/Americana Party

One of my best friends Ana, moved to Washington D.C. on Friday, after receiving an amazing offer she couldn't refuse. {Sob!}
I am so thrilled for her success, but will miss her like crazy. Luckily I have one more reason to visit our historical District :)
I co-hosted a Bon Voyage party so that close friends and fam could say goodbye for now...
I will let her re-cap on her blog, but I had to share some decor, one of my favorite things!
Now, you may know I'm a girl on a budget, so I had to get creative and make most of the decorations. Luckily I love crafting!
{starting with draping everything I could with red, white and blue flag banners I made}
 {filling jars with american goodness}
 {a scrapbook station where everyone added photos and wrote sweet nothings}
 {Gluten-free treats}
 {red wine, white wine, and blue koolaid}
 {pinwheels}

Bon Voyage Dear friend! I can't wait to come visit!

OOTD and weenie wed :)

Outfit of the day yesterday...
with these Trouve sandals
and Lilacism by Essie :)

On another note, I enjoyed a delicious fro-yo with a  girlfriend the other day...
I think I'll need one on this gorgeous day too!

And last but never least, Weenie Wednesday!
This is a video of my baby Peach showcasing her bumble-bee booty,wiggling up a storm. She usually flies all over the place like a sugar glider, but baby's gotten a bit more back over the winter and chickened out ;)

And what would WW be without a word from Obie? He always has the best advice after a good chat with the Universe:

First, choose from the options that thrill you.

Then, choose the ones that also teach you.

And from these, chelsea, choose the scariest.

Butterflies in your tummy are good,
