God bless snow plows!!

Even though I am feeling a bit like we are God's personal snow globe, we are keeping busy as ever, just pretty exclusively indoors!

My view yesterday, while working on "Save the Dates"
I can't wait to show you all!
My cute brother in the mouse hood I made for him. I was like a proud Mamma taking his pic! He volunteers with children, so he had to dress up as a children's book character. If You Give a Mouse a Cookie :)
My little bumble bee, with her baby bumble bee :)
David and my brother, Chad, carved some crazy wonderfully creepy pumpkins! Mine is in the background..pretty boring but we are carving more tonight!
Anyone dressing up for Halloween? I just love it!

Sweet!

They could be for wedding showers, baby showers, birthday parties...
Maybe just because they put a smile to your face...
And you don't mind a little extra coosh in your toosh...
I need one....who am I kidding. Two.I need two....

Cute cupcake coats:

Celebration Day!

First order of busines...HAPPY 80TH BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!!!

I know he will probably never see this, but it has been a rough year for my grandpa and our family. He's pulled a 180 after a stroke last Sept. 11 and has never been the same go-getter since. What's worse is that he has gone down hill SO quickly, there was no adjustment phase for us. He's been like another father to me and the smartest man I've ever met and feel blessed that he has been able to mentor me for as long as he has. So we are celebrating his milestone today!

Second order of business: After running my butt off after Eva escaped her leash in the park today, it has resulted in me having a clear mind :) Do you ever have times when you are really frustrated, and stooping to a lower level seems effortless? Well one thing I have learned more lately, than ever, is that NOT stooping, as challenging as that may be at times, is SO worth it. You feel better in the end, you look better, and you are closer to the person God wants you to be. Not reacting is not a bad thing. It takes strength, and helps give you a clarity. Because whoever, or whatever is trying to get the best of you, is not worth the upset. After all, the only thing in your control, is how you handle a situation. And I'm going to try to handle everything that comes my way as if He was watching. Because he always is. So on this lovely day, I am focusing on taking care of the people and things that have taken care of me, and make me happy:) Because life goes by in the blink of an eye. And I want to enjoy what I see!
Love. Love.Love. To all of you!

Third order of biz:

Just a pic or two,of one of my favorite things! dressing for fall:) because I always like seeing and other fun blog friends pics!
dressing like a fall leaf! excuse the messy bedroom :p
we kinda just moved and had to condense quite a bit!
Notice my little fashion expert, always at my feet!
One of my pumpkins last year! I can't wait to carve this years pumpkins!

I didn't want to do this...

I didn't want to go this route...But at this time, I see no other choice. I'm getting married in less than 300 days {I know it sounds like a big #, but it's going by fast!} And I am eating like there is no tomorrow. I need to kick it into gear. So, this is what I have resorted to:

My favorite model. On my fridge.
My fave professional dancer...on top of one of the TWO cakes on my kitchen counter at the moment.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! We've been steadily busy with this and that and just enjoying the last of the autumn weather, stealing every moment through pumpkin candles, leaf-kicking, and photo opps! Today was a lovely day downtown, eating my bodyweight in garlic bread with my mom, then with two of my girlfriends, trying on the most beautiful bridesmaids dress {Love}, and then gelato at the cutest place! Hey- I wasn't the one trying on dresses, right?!

tags for the stuff I have made for the shop!
I'm hoping people will buy my things because of my very shabby but best amateur efforts!
Like, "this poor girl can't sew and make tags to save her life! How cute" type scenario?!
A beautiful foggy morning! so snuggly.
A preview of what else I've been working on! I'll show you the end result soon!

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Hebrew 13:15

Wanna know where we're having our wedding reception?! Because I? Cannot hold this beauty to myself! We are very blessed and thankful to be planning a beautiful mountain wedding. God's work is all the decor needed!
The drive to the Chateau...
A view from the property...can't you just smell the fresh air :)
view of the valet drive from the front door...
Checkin it all out!
Here she is! I'm about to go bonkers with excitement about celebrating our marriage with our loved ones at this beautiful spot!

We will be going up this week to do some planning, I'm just loving this process, I'm already sad for the day it will all be over!! But living in the moment is key. And this is all leading up to a very sacred purpose: Making the choice to go through life as partners, with God. And with all our family and friends. Divine!
I hope everyone had a splendid weekend! It was very chilly here. I had to break out the doggy sweaters. So my weekend was spent missing David, cleaning, sewing (I'll show ya what I've made), bundling up and going out with friends for Harvest Ale, and visiting my grandpa lots in the rehab facility, and a teensy bit of retail therapy :)

BTW, how chic is this bride?!

Pep talk

Ok loves, if you’re looking for one of my silly quick random posts, you may want to keep on blog surfing. BUT, I hope you stay. Cause I’m kinda in the mood to talk about some stuff. Grown-girl stuff. If you really know me, you might be giggling at me referring to myself as a grown girl…I’m not exactly known for being super mature and such. But I AM growing. And I’m going to level with you- it’s hard! I don’t want this to come off in any way as a negative post, or that being an adult is bad. So.Not.True. The thing is, when I was little, adults always told me “don’t be in such a hurry to grow up! It goes by fast, and you’ll wish you were young again!”

I don’t wish I was young(er) again. I do, however appreciate the security and zest for life you, 2 ft tall Chelsea had. You see, 2ft tall Chelsea, there’s this thing the older you has in her life now…it’s call responsibility. Now, these days, when something needs to be fixed or paid for, or someone needs to be called…or you have the choice to be a big person, or a small person. The choice, the responsibility, is yours. Although this may sound gross, 2ft Chelsea, the result of you taking control of your taller self, is rewarding in a way you don’t yet understand as you play with your Barbies, and your biggest worry is when it’s time for Fraggle Rock to come on, or which pink Osh Kosh’s to wear. Don’t get me wrong… there are times when calling mom to do the dirty work is going to be appealing. But I’m gonna warn you little Chel, mom won’t think it’s as cute when you are 25. So we turn to God. And we pray for strength, and we pray for forgiveness. And tons of other things. And we pray and give thanks not just one time, for each problem or blessing. We pray every single day. Good day or bad day, we pray. And you know what little scraggly- toothed Chelsea? Even when being grown up gets a bit yucky, your taller self can think back to the 2ft tall time, when you believed anything was possible, and realize that, cheesy or not, with Him by your side, anything really is.
